On Saturday, Kyle and I, along with the girls will be headed to a ceremony honoring the families of organ donors. The title on the invite says "A Rainbow for Every Storm". I like that. But, I've been debating backing out for about a week now. I know I need to take this step for Erik. I think it'll be a good way for me to tell his story to strangers and prepare me for all this fundraising I'm wanting to do. I'm not really sure what this ceremony is all about, as this is our first year getting an invite, so I'm pretty nervous about the unexpected. Hopefully it'll be something really special and have me wanting to go back - otherwise, I'll be even more down than I am now.
I am looking forward to getting away from home and doing something other than my usual stuff, so that's a plus. Depending on how the ceremony goes, I'm hoping to convince Kyle that we need to shop for summer clothes for the girls :) We'll see how that turns out!

I didn't realize that Erik was an organ donor- I hope that this ceremony can bring you some peace and some meaningful connections with other families of little heroes!
